From the kerb to the weighbridge, nobody loses the paperwork.
WasteOne keeps one record for every load: the job, the signed transfer note, the weighbridge ticket and DEFRA's answer. Built for firms with a few lorries to a few dozen, including the ones whose drivers don't carry a phone.

The rules have changed
Digital waste tracking is now the law for receiving sites, and DEFRA plans to bring everyone else in. We date every statement about the law, because the dates have already moved once.
Checked against gov.uk and legislation.gov.uk, 23 September 2026
- 1 October 2026Permitted sites in England and Wales
Every load received must be recorded with DEFRA's digital waste tracking service by the end of the second working day after it arrives.
- January 2027Scotland and Northern Ireland
The same duty starts there.
- October 2027 DEFRA's planCarriers, brokers, dealers and exempt sites
A stated plan, not yet law. The date can still move.
Only DEFRA can say it's done
Plenty of software marks a load as submitted the moment it has tried. WasteOne shows one of three states, and only DEFRA's own answer can turn a load green. If we can't check, we say so.

DEFRA accepted the load and gave it a tracking ID.
No answer yet. Treat it as not done. We keep trying and warn you before the deadline.
DEFRA refused it. We tell you what to change, in plain English.
Built for how a yard really works
Our first pilot will be with a wood and pallet recycler that collects in its own lorries, weighs on its own weighbridge and treats on its own site. That's who we're building for.
- Office first
- No phone in the cab? The driver keeps the paper and the office keys it in, dated when the work was done.
- Collect and receive, one record
- Your lorry into your yard is one load, not two records to match up afterwards.
- Signed means signed
- Once a note is signed it's frozen. Editing a template later never rewrites what somebody agreed to.
- Everyone gets a login
- The whole office and every driver, each with their own. The draft prices have no per-user charges.
- Your records leave with you
- Before anyone pays, you'll be able to export everything, any time, in a format you can open without us.
- Your data is yours alone
- Each business sees only its own records. Nothing is quietly overwritten or thrown away, and every change is kept.
Who it's for
Carriers, brokers and dealers
Plan runs, key collections from the driver's paperwork, and get transfer notes signed without driving back for a signature.
