One load, from the job sheet to DEFRA.

Everything about a load lives on one record: who asked for it, who moved it, what it weighed, who signed for it and what DEFRA said.

Sample record. All names and numbers are made up.

Five steps, one record

  1. Book the job

Take the order, put it on a run and give it to a driver and a vehicle.

  2. Collect it

On paper or on the app. Paper is keyed in afterwards and still dated when the work was actually done.

  3. Sign the transfer note

In person, or by a link sent to the customer. Once signed, the note is frozen exactly as it was agreed.

  4. Weigh it in

Gross and tare at the weighbridge, against the same load. Regular vehicles can use a season ticket.

  5. Report it to DEFRA

Receiving sites send the load to DEFRA's service and see the answer on the load itself.

The ticket is the record

What every ticket has

  • Ticket number, and the times in and out
  • The vehicle and who hauled it
  • What the waste is, and its waste code
  • Gross, tare and net weight
  • The operator's signature
Sample ticket. All names and numbers are made up.

What WasteOne adds

  • The signed transfer note it belongs to
  • The job and the run it came from
  • DEFRA's answer, and when it's due
  • Who changed anything, and when
  • A copy for your customer

What "sent" means

Every load shows one of three states. Only DEFRA's answer can move it to the first, and anything we can't check shows as not confirmed, never as done.

Confirmed

DEFRA has accepted it and given it a tracking ID.

Not confirmed yet

Not yet answered. Treat it as not done.

Needs fixing

DEFRA refused it. We tell you what to change, in plain English.
